I believe that a successful relationship takes partners who are fully committed to the health of the relationship. The key to that health lies in empathy both for the self and the other.

I am certified to use the Prepare/Enrich assessment as a starting point in our sessions if you are interested in using that tool in our time together. I also use Compassionate Communication as a pastoral listening technique. For partners interested developing the practice, I provide in-depth training on the basics of Compassionate Communication.

While I was trained at Luther Seminary, I do offer both faith-based and non religious premarital prep and marital enrichment. I especially enjoy working with interfaith partners to create a ceremony that honors multiple faiths and traditions. I also believe that love is love and will celebrate and support consensual and affirming partnerships.
